We offer a completely different, non-competitive service that’s purpose-built to support an integrated marketing effort. We don’t make ads, we don’t do PR, and we don’t build websites. All we do is content.
How We Work With Agencies
Built with you in mind
Our team has had experience on the agency side, on the client side, on the media side, and experience working in a web development environment. We understand and empathize with the unique needs of your organization, and we respect your relationship with your clients. We know what it’s like to work with good partners, and with not so good ones. We don’t compete with your service offerings, we help you activate them.
Strategy vs Planning
We’re not going to ask if we can sit in on high-level strategic discussions, although we’re happy to, if you like. We're more interested in developing a content plan that supports your brand strategy, rather than weighing in on the brand strategy itself. We know it’s hard enough to get everyone singing from the same song book. Instead, our planning process takes the overarching strategy you provide, and identifies ways to activate it with content online.
Input from partners
Our planning process and our execution methodology works best when there’s a strong understanding of the consumer mindset, when there’s an insightful brand strategy in place, and when the brand is being supported with great creative, media, PR, search campaigns, and other tactics. You’ll have direct input on the plan we develop for your client, and we’ll help you activate the strategy and tactics you’ve put in place for your clients.
Doing the right thing
We have a zero tolerance policy for partner politics. We don’t participate in any funny business, or maneuvering, or buck passing, or blame-gaming, or power-plays. We’re open, we’re honest, and we’re transparent. In our past experience, so are 99% of the service firms we’ve worked with. But, we've all worked with firms or people who are more worried about themselves than the client. Life's too short, right? We work together with our partners, respectfully, and we hope you do, too.
Agency discounts
Our process and execution methods require a direct relationship with your client. We literally act as a digital journalism team, proactively reporting on client news. Clarity and transparency are very important to us, so we don’t work with agencies on a white label basis, or in any way that isn’t totally transparent to the client.
That being said, we can be flexible with our rates if there are a number of your clients that we’re serving - but we think they should be the direct beneficiaries of your buying power. Of course, our direct clients are always needing help from agencies, and if we think you’re the right fit, we’ll send them your way. We won’t accept anything in return financially, or do any deals along those lines, but if you want to send us a thank you note, we’ll display it proudly in our office. We like those.
Billing
Our billing is also direct to client, so we don’t offer an agency discount, or participate in any other flavors of “mark up”. In our experience, most clients understand the value of well integrated partnerships, and will be happy to compensate your team directly for the time you spend working with us to help ensure the content we are creating is on-strategy.
