Planning the Work
Our planning team will create an integrated digital content plan that identifies and schedules subject matter for your social media efforts for the next 12 months. We’ll also help you address your internal policies towards employee’s use of social media, and provide recommendations on how to activate this potentially rich source of positive consumer generated content.
Doing the Work
Raidious’ team of digital journalists will proactively create content that’s designed to deliver on the objectives we outline together in the planning process. Volumes will vary by business need. This can range from simple daily status updates to a more complicated and involved presence on multiple social media networks.
The Client’s Role
The majority of our content is produced 30 days in advance to account for approval and editing time and goes live on a scheduled basis. However, due to the real time nature of the web and our ability to instantly react to events on your behalf, we recommend the client also having full control for directly approving communications that are time sensitive. In addition to approving content, the client is also expected to be responsive to information requests and referring us to the information we need - in other words, to be a good “source” for our reporters. Social media generally has little to no filtering capabilities, and requires fairly rapid response times. While we can anticipate and plan for most moderation scenarios, it’s crucial to have responsive client support for social media.
Social Media Setup and Management
Raidious can identify and recommend the appropriate social media tools for you if you don’t already have some in place. This can range from the Big Four (Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, Twitter) to more vertically focused micro networks, social bookmarking services like Delicious and rating services like Digg or Reddit. This space is moving quickly, so there are always new networks popping up (try BrightKite). With a content focused approach to dealing with Social Media, Raidious can be very agile in capitalizing on shifts and changes in Social Media. The content matters, and your relationships to the people on the networks matter - the networks themselves can and will change, as we’ve seen over the last several years.
Social Media Analytics
Raidious will send analytics reports weekly and will compile a monthly integrated analytics overview report incorporating all activities. We’ll identify ways to improve on the key performance indicator metrics we establish in the planning process, and how to more effectively meet the objectives we’ve established. Digital marketing is an ongoing science experiment - the question we ask isn’t “is this tactic effective?”, the question is “in what ways can this tactic be more effective tomorrow than it is today?”.
Social Media Status Updates
Raidious can provide status updates for your brand weekly, daily, or even multiple times per day, depending on the objectives. Status updates are quick messages limited to usually 140 characters or less. Status updates are a great way to stay in touch with your consumers without requiring a lot of their time. Typically we use status updates on services like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and MySpace to post links to more indepth content we’ve created for you on a blog or website. Many consumers subscribe to status updates from their favorite social networks on their mobile devices as well.
Social Media Content
In our planning process, Raidious will identify topics of interest to your customers that are relevant to your brand, and we’ll build a 12 month plan to create and distribute that content. Depending on the situation, we may use blogs, social media, or your website as the “hub” for your content and distribute it to your other platforms. Or, we may need to create very specific content to each social network independent of your b log or website. There are a number of variables that we’ll work through in the planning process to help us establish which content should be deployed to your social media platforms.
Social Media for Video, Images, and Audio
Many social networks can include photos, video, audio, slideshows, and other multimedia elements beyond text. Sites like YouTube, Flickr, Slideshare, Shutterfly and many other media-oriented sites include a lot of social network functionality and very active communities. Video in particular is a highly engaging form of online media and works great in tandem with social media, blogging, and email. Photos and images related to your brand are also a great way to bring the brand to life online.
Social Media Monitoring
It’s nearly impossible - and probably not appropriate - for a brand to have a presence on every social network, message board, or other online platform where there’s a dialog going on about your company. Consumers are talking about your brand everywhere from Amazon and Ebay to vertically focused message boards to their own blogs. Raidious employs specialized social media monitoring software that allows us to see these conversations and respond to them as appropriate. Monitoring is included as part of our social media services.
Social Media Moderation
Also known as Online Reputation Management, Social Media Moderation is a critical piece of the puzzle. Brands need to be able to quickly respond to inquiries, comments, invitations, and other outreach from their consumers - and have a plan in place to deal with both negative and positive feedback. Raidious handles this for you as part of our Social Media services.
